We know Pantone’s color of 2024 is “Peach Fuzz,” but move over, Pantone, because beauty trendsetter Hailey Bieber just declared a new color of the month: yellow.
First, she gave us “strawberry girl summer,” then she gave us espressocore, and now, just when we are really feeling the post-holiday blues, Hailey Bieber’s beauty brand, rhode, is bringing us sunny skies through a photo series on Instagram. The series came complete with the caption “January’s color palette” and featured a few yellow emojis, including a heart, stars, a sun, and a pineapple.

Aside from the emoji’s included in the caption, rhode’s photo dump forecast is giving sunshine with a side of everything in yellow: beach towels, hats, scuba gear, and goggles. One of the two videos hovers over the essential elements of the perfect beach day, highlighting a yellow (duh) Jacquemus bucket hat, sunglasses, and a coconut drink. On top of the beach towel, there are some rhode favorites too: the unscented Peptide lip treatment, glazing fluid, and glazing milk.
In the other video, there is a glass of a yellowish liquid that is being poured over ice. One photo shows a yellowish substance inside a mixing machine, while the last photo of the set gives us a two-layer cake with yellow frosting. All of this leads us to believe that something is cooking besides that wonderful cake, and we aren’t alone.
One particular photo in the dump shows a rhode box in the yellow shade, which doesn’t correspond with any of the brand’s current offerings. This has left fans of the beauty brand assuming this is a teaser of what is to come. Some users left comments guessing what the next rhode product will be, such as “Vitamin C serum” and “Omg, is this sunscreen??” Others just showed their unwavering support of whatever it is that is coming, commenting, “Oh, can’t wait!!!” and “Here for it.”
While we keep an eye out for what is to come, inspired by Hailey Bieber and rhode, we may as well deck ourselves out in yellow to beat the January blues!
