This was my feedback to BMW on a recent call checking in on XM owners. They completely flubbed the launch of the XM and Label Red now called Label only.
They could have easily launched one version, made them all 750hp and sold them right away. Instead they teased a better version with questionable cosmetics and a 100hp tune for $20k. The fact that most of us are getting our XMs at substantial discounts, means they missed the market and created confusion for little gain. Congrats on your XM Label, Im sure it will be awesome. I hope youre paying well under sticker.

I completely agree with your comments about the launch as well as the fact that they priced this vehicle higher than they should have as even with discounts they will have many 2023 remaining on the lots at the end of the year.
Yes I could easily get discounts on a regular XM now or on a XM label next year after these sit on the lots for a while but I probably wouldnt get exactly the build I want which is what one would expect when paying this much. I am not paying full MSRP but close. Out the door with taxes will be over 200K for the exact car I want. I just hope they dont make the mistake of making too many of XM labels!
I am nervous about problems and CELs but I have a great relationship with the dealership and with the purchase of this car I should be their best customer now LOL. I know they will make things right should things go wrong which gives me some solace.
Promise to do a review as soon as I get it and other reviews during my ownership to help this forum.
