12 Battery St, Clovelly sold for about $15m.
The co-founder of venture capital firm AirTree, Craig Blair, and wife Melanie Caffrey — who are moving to a $30m record-breaking home in Bronte — have sold their Clovelly oceanfront for about $15m.
The couple had listed the six-bedroom Dods and Zuccon architect-designed family home at 12 Battery St with a $16m auction guide in April, and while sales agent James Ball of Sotheby’s was tight-lipped, other sources revealed the price.
It was unclear who’s bought it at the time of publication.
While short of their initial expectations, Blair and Caffrey have done well considering they picked it up for $5.7m a decade ago.

They’re off to another six-bedroom residence on a massive 1100sqm north-facing landholding in Tipper Ave, former home of Cygnet Capital’s Darien Jagger and wife, Katie, which smashed the suburb record by $5m when it sold via Ball in April.

Blair founded AirTree alongside Daniel Petre in 2014, with an initial $60m fund.
It’s invested in a range of companies including Canva, GO1, Employment Hero and A Cloud Guru and its holdings are now valued at more than $2 billion.
The Battery St residence was the perfect spot to raise Blair and Caffrey’s three children that are aged 18, 16 and 13, with the trio enjoying snorkelling, paddleboarding and surfing in their ocean backyard.
They also loved going fishing in their “tinnie”.
It’s been a busy week for the Ball team, with seven sales totalling $50m over the past six days.
