Aesthetics
You don’t go through the trouble of renting an exclusive room for just the meal. What makes it a full experience is the ambiance and vibe that surrounds the food! What aesthetic or style choices do you think will match your event most closely? Weigh your options and envision your dream setting to properly set your expectations.
Logistics
How is everyone getting to your event? If you have many guests who are coming in on public transportation, consider searching in a specific area close to a metro stop. Or, if you know everyone will be driving, make sure to pick a space that has ample parking options.
Time and date
When searching through Peerspace listings, you’ll find that each one has its own operating hours and schedules. Start your search on the right foot by determining the date and time of your event. If you find a space you like that doesn’t operate within the hours you need, consider messaging the host and asking if they can make a special exception.
Host flexibility
For certain dining events like corporate luncheons or awards dinners, you may need to post things on the walls or make use of a screen for a presentation. Be sure to look through the host’s rules and see if they have any limitations on what you can use in the space. Also, look out for amenities that could assist you with your event.
Amenities
These are everything that comes with the space that could be useful for hosting. For a private dinner that’s not in a restaurant, you’ll want to be on the lookout for listings that offer tables and chairs, dining utensils, and possibly a private kitchen if you’re hiring a chef.

Listing details to note
First, be sure to explore all of the beautiful photos uploaded by the host to get an idea of what the space looks like inside. Next, read through the host’s description, find out what amenities are available, and see if there are any rules to follow. Lastly, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the listing and read through the reviews left by Peerspace community members who have rented before you.
With all of this information at your fingertips, you’re unlikely to have too many questions. However, if you do, click on the “Message the Host” button and begin a dialogue. There’s no commitment on your part, and the host will be happy to answer any questions that you may have.
