Today I’m sharing what I bought for $100 at Target – a Blonde Squad Collaboration. It’s time for the Blonde Squad’s spring collaboration (Jill, Andrea, Laura, Caroline, and myself) and why not try something different and do a little shopping? We decided to spend a $100 at Target and share what we came up with. What is astonishing about my trip is that I spent under $100! (I spent $86.66.) Can you believe it? The girl with caviar taste?! From now on when I shop at Target I will keep a number in mind and stay focused. I am always over $100 when I mindlessly shop. So let’s see what showed up in my shopping cart.
What I Bought for $100 at Target
Before I went into this shopping trip I made up my mind to get at least one clothing item, one home decor item, and one makeup item. So I headed to the women’s clothing area first and found the cutest crop top in the juniors section. The color blocking is such a unique detail and loving the bold mix of colors. Sold for $12!
I then headed to the athleisure section and found these amazing brown joggers. I been wanting a pair of these joggers for quite sometime. A client had a similar pair from Athleta that I was considering on buying. But these are only $30 so I went for it. They are so soft and comfy. I also think they look great with my New Balance sneakers.
A Little Home Decor from Target
Next I headed to the home decor department and happened upon this pretty canister in a dark green. I am sucker for containers like this. My art journaling supplies come in many different sizes and shapes so I have them stored in big and small containers like this. I put it in my cart and then noticed the pretty soaps on the same shelf. The smell of this pink pineapple & passionfruit soap was too good pass up. The container was $15 and the soap was $4.
A Little Bit of Beauty
Next up on my list was the makeup department. I didn’t really need any new makeup so I focused on finding a bargain and luckily I came across this cute eye shadow palette from Essence. The purple shades in this palette are perfect for the beginning of spring. There were few other palettes in pink, green, and neutral shades. What a deal for $3.99!
One need that I did have in beauty was for my hair. I keep losing all my barrettes. (Where do they all go?) I found these pretty pastel set of barrettes by Scunci. These were $5.
Extras from Target
The last time I was in Target before this trip I purchased these yummy sea salt caramels. Being a sweets gal, this bag emptied quickly. I headed back to the grocery department to get more and saw several other sweets on the shelf. I love the mix of dark chocolate and caramel so I added a bag to my cart as well. These treats are wonderful to have around when you have guests over. I just throw these in a bowl and share them after having a meal with friends. They also go great with my afternoon tea.
When I got to the register I realized that I still wasn’t at the $100 mark. I checked out the accessories section and tried really hard to find something for $15 but there was nothing I loved. So I headed over to the dollar section at the front of the store and found these cute dish towels for $5. I love the neutral colors. (I could not find these anywhere on Target’s website. Sorry!)
So there you have it! Still can’t believe that I spent under $100 but excited about these purchases. What is your favorite and what has been your experience at Target lately? I highly recommend getting their credit card because you get an extra discount every time you use it. That’s was one reason why I didn’t get close to $100.
Don’t forget to check out what the Jill (Doused in Pink), Andrea (Living on Cloud Nine), Laura (I Do DeClaire), and Caroline (The Petite Fashionista) bought at Target. Can’t wait to see what goodies they found!
FYI – I will be posting my weekly look on Thursday. Have a fantastic week friends! XO
