As our days become longer and the weather becomes warmer it’s around this time of year I start to downsize my winter wardrobe and prepare for Summer. Away go my Winter coats in favour of those lighter Summer jacket
options. I’m talking denim or linen for those long afternoons spent in the sun, only ever needed as the evening grows slightly chillier-those are the best days (and they’re much easier and chicer to carry around if needed.)
Below I’ve listed four of my favourite lighter in collaboration with House of Fraser
to give you inspiration for those sunny Summer afternoons.
It’s no secret I’m a fan on linen, in particular a neutral wash! I picked up this OUI linen blazer
from House of Fraser last week and It’s already my favourite jacket. Would you just look at that button detailing? This Ralph Lauren linen jacket
is also incredible.
It’s not just linen I’m interested in. I’m also a great fan of blazers-who isn’t? A blazer is the perfect piece to layer on top of those casual outfits to smarten your look up bit. A blazer is great thrown on top of an evening dress, worn with a t-shirt or jeans or simple as part of a cool two piece suit. This Whistles navy double breasted blazer
is on the top of my list.
I love a denim jacket, I see them as the perfect piece to take away on holiday worn on top of that gorgeous maxi dress to keep the chill at bay in the evenings. I love the oversized look of this white contrast stitch jacket
or this long sleeve cropped jacket
worn with a pair of high waisted cut offs? Yes please.
My last lighter option is a khaki jacket, I love them worn with a stripe breton tee or worn simply with a crisp white tee, your favourite wash jeans and a pair of trainers-this embroidered utility jacket
is the perfect addition for that basic yet simple outfit.
