Samsung Malaysia Electronics draws together young talent from colleges and leading local organizations as part of its goal to redefine foldable experiences for Malaysians. This collaboration opens up new possibilities for the Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip as well as for mainstream foldable UI/UX.
The initial group of participants, AmBank, Family Mart, Maxis, Pay4U, and ZUS Coffee, utilized the capabilities of the Samsung and Android platforms to improve user experiences on their local apps. They presented their app optimization showcasing flexible use of screen expansions and multi-angle fold usages. during the recent partner-sharing session “Reimagining Foldables for Malaysians” which was held at The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur recently.
More partners will be added by Samsung in the upcoming months, including Gigi Coffee, Golden Screen Theaters, TGV Theaters, and Zapp. Samsung also plans to work with local universities on a hackathon where students will present their ideas for foldable apps. This is in keeping with its ESG objective to empower and encourage young Malaysian talent to create waves in the tech industry.

Samsung Introduces New Rugged Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro for Businesses and Frontline Workers
Samsung recently launched the Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro in Malaysia to fulfill the stringent and ever-changing expectations of enterprises and frontline workers across numerous industries and verticals. Its sleek, portable form, durable durability, and enterprise-grade capabilities enable a smooth transition between professional and personal experiences. The device is business-ready out of the box, with end-to-end security and a wide ecosystem of accessories.
With a more potent processor, more memory, and more storage available on the Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro, users may benefit from speedier performance and greater work efficiency. With 5G and WiFi 6, users can easily connect indoors or outdoors for faster speeds, lower latency, dependable access, and more capacity, especially for mission-critical applications.
Frontline workers may work in the field through multiple shifts without needing to recharge thanks to the huge 7,600mAh removable and replaceable battery. When necessary, a POGO cradle for several devices or a USB-C cable can be used to swiftly charge the device on the road. The 10.1″ wide screen’s increased viewing and activity capacity improves multitasking. The portable, sturdy device is lightweight at 10.2mm thick and weighs only 674g.
Users can use Samsung DeX to bring work on the big screen by connecting the tablet to a monitor or TV thereby effectively having two screens. Mirror video conversations or presentations on the larger screen so that the entire team may participate while taking notes or working on other tasks on the tablet.
The tough Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro is MIL-STD-810H certified, passing 23 tests, including ones for altitude, temperature, vibration, dust, humidity, and more. This gives employees piece of mind in challenging circumstances. The S Pen and the tablet both have an IP68 rating, making them resistant to water and dust. Additionally, it is anti-shock and can endure drops of up to 1.2 meters with the protective cover on or 1.0 meters without. Workers may use the touchscreen while wearing gloves thanks to the Touch Sensitivity mode.
The device can also run in No Battery mode, allowing users to plug it in and play for extended periods of time in a car without overheating or in a store without risking battery damage. The device’s Active Key can be customized to open particular apps or functionalities in the meantime. Frontline workers can hear better, even in noisy surroundings, thanks to the Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro’s louder speaker level than before.
The Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro comes with end-to-end security and up to 5 years of security patch updates to ensure business continuity. With the help of a variety of support accessories, including a smart case, charging cradle, keyboard, wearable barcode scanner, and others, the device can be put to use in a variety of industries and use cases.
