Rolls-Royce Motor Cars made a monumental announcement in 2021 that would permanently impact the marque’s history. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars declared its commitment to electric technology by announcing both the Spectre, an all-electric car with first customer deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2023, and the marque’s complete lineup will be totally electric by the end of 2030. Spectre has been on a spectacular journey since this historic time in Rolls-Royce’s legendary history, including undergoing a highly demanding testing programme covering 2.5 million kilometres. Spectre was introduced to the world last October at the Home of Rolls-Royce in West Sussex, England, and the worldwide reception has been overwhelmingly positive.
The Malaysian debut comes ahead of the first client deliveries later this year. The world’s first ultra-luxury electric super coupé is on a regional tour, giving clients and media a glimpse into Rolls-Royce’s electric future.
Spectre marks the start of a thrilling new era for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, as well as the commencement of the marque’s all-electric future. Spectre is a fulfilled promise, a prophecy fulfilled, and a magnificent undertaking. Spectre exemplifies how well Rolls-Royce is adapted to electrification. By the end of 2030, the company’s entire product portfolio will be entirely electric.
The brand has a long history of working with electric technology; in 1900, Charles Rolls, a co-founder of Rolls-Royce, predicted that the future of the automobile would be powered by electricity. He anticipated the technology’s applicability as a clean, noiseless replacement to the internal combustion engine after experiencing The Columbia Electric Carriage. Rolls-Royce debuted the 102EX, a totally electric Experimental Phantom concept, in 2011. This was followed by 103EX, a dramatic design study that previewed the marque’s bold electric future.
Pricing in Malaysia starts from* RM 2,000,000 (before options and taxes) and pricing is dependent on customer specification as each Rolls-Royce is bespoke.
