Billie Eilish is getting sick and tired of people commenting on what she wears.
In a recent series of photos posted to her Instagram Stories, the Grammy-award-winning singer, 21, expressed frustration with “women hating ass weirdos” who comment on her style. Eilish, who was known for her signature baggy clothing look for much of her career, has started to change up her fashion and approach a more feminine style.
“I spent the first 5 years of my career getting absolutely OBLITERATED by you fools for being boy ish and dressing how i did & constantly being told i’d be hotter if i acted like a woman,” Eilish wrote on her Story, over a selfie. “Now when i feel comfortable enough to wear anything remotely feminine or fitting, i CHANGED and am a sellout.”
She continued: “You guys are true idiots. LOL I can be BOTH you f***king bozos. LET WOMEN EXIST.”
Eilish didn’t specify which negative comments she was referring to, but it was seemingly a blanket response.
The singer’s style has evolved over time and Eilish has proved that she isn’t afraid to take risks and change it up. She has stunned at multiple Met Galas — including the memorable peach gown from 2021 — and her black Simone Rocha ensemble from earlier this month.
“FUN FACT! did you know that women are multifaceted!!!!!??? shocking right?? believe it or not women could be interested in multiple things,” Eilish continued. “Also that femininity does not equal weakness???!!!! omg?! insane right? who knew. And also totally unheard of and insane to want to express yourself differently at different times.”

Eilish has previously spoken openly about changing up her appearance as she gets older. In a 2021 interview with ELLE, Eilish said she “lost 100,000 followers just because of the boobs” after debuting her Happier Than Ever album photos, which featured a new mature look.
“People are scared of big boobs,” Eilish continued. “I had no goal of ‘This is going to make everybody think differently of me.’ I’ve had different-colored hair and vibes for everything I’ve ever done.”
